Cold feet slip on thin ice
howling unforgiving winds
frostbite beg fingers to return
to sweet home, comfort, yearn.
But where is this home hardship calls?
For I see mountains as my kinsman,
glistening snow, as distant friend,
and shaking bones, as crying newborn.
Nomadic wandering is far from ease
fallen leaves and crippling trees.
despite gray frowned clouds,
the travel is worth unpaved grounds.
Glowing eyes under winter’s avail
shattering teeth, yet the smile prevails
“What does thou seek in morbid trails?”
Question from he who routine jails.
Limbs sore with deepened colors
Browns and blues for broken chains
Let pain shatter for it affects me not
My soul evolves even with trips distraught.
