Cire

by Stephanie Alfaia

An instant turned into eternity

Heart dropped to bowel walls
Out of air, dry mouth
How does she brew shock
With the inevitably expected?
Knotted throat
Matching the knot you’ve tied
Rest in peace to glittered moments
Memory no more
Peel away, strip apart
Into the arms of another, he’s gone.
