Glass Half Full

by Stephanie Alfaia

Pricked fingertips
Collecting shards of glass
Over flowing water.
We have moved from
Organization
To a state of complete
Chaos.
“How lovely”
A murmured soliloquy,
The many faces of her
Broken, smiling back
Like the galaxy.
Misunderstood
Law of entropy,
Repeating history.
Yes,
I have seen this movie before.
